Welcome to the University of Minnesota Crookston! We are glad you are here and about to become a part of the Golden Eagle family!
Research indicated that students who attend orientation perform better in college and are more likely to graduate than those who do not attend. Orientation is required of all new students to UMC. We have a full weekend of educational, informational, and all out FUN planned just for you!
As a Transfer student we understand that you have "been there" & "done that", so we offer you the choice on how you would like to get started here at UMC. You have the option of joining us all on Friday, August 21 for the weekend of Orientation events, or you can choose to attend the MANDATORY Monday, August 24 Orientation for transfer student ONLY. Check-in will be at 8:00 am in the Sargent Student Center. See schedule below.
New Student Orientation begins on Friday, August 21 and runs through Monday, August 24, 2015. Classes begin on Tuesday, August 25. All meals are provided to new students as part of orientation weekend. A typical orientation day has activities scheduled from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Monday Schedule for Transfer Students
This schedule is mandatory for all new transfer students.
We are glad you are here as your student begins his or her education at the University of Minnesota Crookston! There are programs and activities for parents and families on Friday, August 21. There is an additional $10.00 parent/guest charge for each person accompanying the student to the evening meal. You will have the opportunity to purchase your ticket at check-in or at the dinner. There will be a send-off for parents and guests at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 21. Dress in casual and comfortable clothing as you will be busy throughout the day. We have to see you soon!
This is a great opportunity for you to meet other students who are also attending UMC for the first time.
Orientation is mandatory for all new on-site, full-time students (online students do not need to attend) so you feel a sense of comfort before you begin classes. If you are a part-time student, we encourage you to attend the entire day. If you can not attend orientation for any reason, please contact us.
