UMC Dairy Club 2011-12
The UMC Dairy Club is open to any student with an interest in dairy (regardless of major). The club puts on the dairy cattle evaluation for Ag and Natural Resources Day, as well as, the Region I FFA Dairy Contest. We also have the opportunity to attend different conferences related to dairy and agriculture throughout the year such as World Dairy Expo and ADSA-SAD. Additionally, we are active in the community completing various community service projects in a given year.
We put on one dairy cattle evaluation contest each semester—one at Ag and Natural Resources Day and one in February or March for Region I FFA.
Adopt a Highway with the Dawn to Dusk Lions, organize and host Region I FFA contests as well as Agriculture and Natural Resources Activities day for high school students. Other community service projects could include but are not limited to, providing games for the community at Ag Arama and helping out in other community projects as they arise.
If interested in joining the Dairy Club, students can contact our club adviser or club president.
