Agronomy and ag business students, as well as other students, that have interest in agriculture come together to learn from each other, travel educationally and maintain a strong agriculture department at UMC.
The UMC Agronomy Club hosts an annual Beet Harvest Spaghetti Feed each fall following the sugar beet harvest in the Red River Valley. This allows all farmers to get together, have a home-cooked meal and converse about this year’s success, as well as next year’s goals. This is the Agronomy Club’s main fundraiser as well as social event.
The Agronomy Club also enjoys taking a four day weekend in the spring to travel to an area and tour the agriculture businesses and spend the weekend together in another city.
Adopt-A-Highway, UMC Ag and Natural Resources Activities Day, Ag-Arama, Regional FFA Contests, Meals on Wheels.
