Living on campus is one of the most beneficial aspects of college life and the absolute best way to get connected. Forget about the hassles of landlords, utilities and commuting. Off campus can be very expensive. Students enjoy the sheer convenience of living only steps away from classes, entertainment, sporting events, the Student Center, the dining hall and library. On-campus living also offers perfect access to social activities, special events and educational programming. All these great opportunities while essentially never leaving home you just may walk away with friendships that last a lifetime.
Research shows that students who live on campus perform better academically and reflect a higher level of satisfaction with their college experience than those who commute. These students also display a higher level of involvement in the campus community and academic programs, which fosters valuable educational, social and leadership skills. The reason is simple: Students who live on campus have a sense of ownership and belonging.
