Furnishings & Services

Your New Home - A Blank Canvas!

Basic Furnishings
Everyone has different tastes and a need to create a living space that expresses their personal style.  We provide the basics - you take it from there and provide your personal touch. Room dimensions vary from hall to hall; however, a common 2 person room in Skyberg or McCall is 12' x 15'. Students are responsible for their own bed linens, pillows, bed spreads, and blankets.  All on-campus residence hall rooms (including the apartments - Centennial and Evergreen and new University Suites) come furnished with extra long, twin size beds, wardrobes/hanging space, dressers, desks, and chairs.  Loft kits are available to rent at the Centennial Hall front desk.  Also, cable TV is included in all rooms and apartments. One 3.4 cubic foot refrigerator is assigned to each McCall and Skyberg residence hall room, and one refrigerator is assigned to each bedroom in the University Suites.

All residence halls have lounges where students, staff, friends and family may visit, watch TV, put on programs and relax.  Ping pong, billiards and foosball are available in various halls.

Services

Computer Access
UMC's residence hall rooms are equipped with a LAN (local area network) connection and several areas are set up for wireless connections which allows access to the University of Minnesota's computer network.  This network provides easy access to the Internet and is the fastest in Crookston.  Laser printers are available in each residence hall.

Laundry Facilities
The residence halls have laundry room equipped with coin-operated washer and dryers. The laundry rooms are located either in the lower level or on the first floor of all halls.  It is $1.00 to wash clothes, and $0.75 to use the dryer.

Linen Service and Move-In Value Paks
Twitter Icon - MediumParents have noted that their incoming college students are being targeted to spend $300 or more on designer linens and other move-in items.  Please know that we do have specially sized beds on campus, but we do not endorse spending that kind of money on linens that may not fit our specially sized beds.

For several years we have arranged a practical, convenient solution providing brand new, first quality, custom sheets priced under $20. Everything is guaranteed to fit and to last until graduation. Students like it because they are certain to have properly-sized sheets while still "personalizing" their rooms. Parents like it because they save money and time.

Last year over 70% of buyers purchased one of the convenient, discounted Value Paks. With a choice of 3 Value Paks in over 20 color combinations, it's an easy and affordable way to save money and to get everything you need at once. Value Paks are shipped to your home free.

These are the only linens that we guarantee will fit. And unlike any others, these linens are guaranteed until graduation. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied, your money will be refunded.

To guarantee your first choice color and avoid hassles at move-in, visit or call:
