APS Online - Over 1,100 periodicals that first began publishing between 1740 and 1900, including special interest and general magazines, literary and professional journals, children's and women's magazines, and many other historically-significant periodicals.
JSTOR - Includes journals in many disciplines including the arts, humanities, and social sciences and often provides access to complete back runs starting with Volume 1, number 1. The UMC Library subscribes to the journals in the Arts & Sciences Collection I.
LEXIS®-NEXIS® Academic Universe - A global online information provider specializing in news, business and legal information. The databases add some 9 million documents weekly from over 18,000 sources.
New York Times Historical Database - The New York Times (1851-2001) offers full page and article images with searchable full text back to the first issue. The collection includes digital reproductions providing access to every page from every available issue.
Project Muse - Provides access to the full text of the Johns Hopkins University Press's 100+ scholarly journals in the humanities, social sciences, and mathematics. Science Direct- Scientific, technical, and medical information from 1995 to the present. The print publisher is Elsevier®. The journals in the collection are listed with an icon indicating the journals to which UMC has access.
SpringerLink acquired Kluwer Online and combined the journal collections of both publishers to provide access to some of the world's leading scientific, technical, and medical journals. A browse list of titles is available on the SpringerLink home page
The University of Minnesota Crookston (UMC) Library has completed a number of digitization projects. Each project has its own website which has links to the individual issues of the publication and a search box that searches the individual pages, as well as the full publication.
