Work study

Work-Study is an opportunity to for on-campus employment while gaining valuable experience working closely with faculty and staff at the university level. Most students find work-study to be a convenient way to earn money as campus employers understand the scheduling needs of a college student. Students often list their work-study experience on their resumes and have the opportunity to use their supervisor’s as a reference. Keep in mind that all work-study earnings can be excluded from your income on your next year’s FAFSA.

Work-Study is need based, so you must have need and have been awarded work-study on your financial aid award notification in order to be eligible. Work-study comes from either federal or state funding depending on residency. Work-study funds are earned and there is no option of requesting the remaining work-study amount that is not earned. Students may work beginning the first day of the semester to the last day of the semester. Students are not allowed to work on University holidays. We do not employ work-study students over the summer. Students not eligible for work-study may find on campus employment that is not considered part of a financial aid package.
