Welcome to the website of the Office of Academic Affairs. Academic Affairs has the primary responsible for implementing the University of Minnesota, Crookston’s mission of teaching and learning, research, and outreach and public service. It exists to provide leadership and support for academic and programmatic units in carrying out this mission. Thus, Academic Affairs has the responsibility for all educational programs and services, as well as the development, implementation, and monitoring of academic policies and procedures, academic program planning and approval, academic personnel (including appointments and reappointments, tenure and promotion, annual evaluations), institutional accreditation and accountability, program review, assessment of student learning, and undergraduate research opportunities.

The Office of Academic Affairs oversees four academic departments – the Agriculture and Natural Resources; Business; Liberal Arts and Education; and Math, Science, and Technology – as well as the Center for Adult Learning, the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology; Honors Program; Institutional Research; International Programs; the Library; the Office of the Registrar; and Office for Sustainability.
