If your course evaluation includes testing, you may be required to arrange for a person at a business address to proctor your tests. This could be a company human relations person, a local teacher, librarian, etc. Each instructor has different requirements and deadlines for identifying a proctor. Please check with your instructor for details about their proctor requirements.
Proctor must have a business address. Suggested personnel include those from the court system, public library, place of employment or local education institution as generally considered good candidates.
Family members, friends and co-workers cannot serve as proctors.
The designated faculty for the course evaluates the information and decides whether the proposed test environment and proctor meet the required criteria.
The designated faculty member for the course will communicate to the student through written or e-mail notification the approval status of the proposed test environment and proctor.
If the proposed test environment or proctor do not meet the requirements for any reason, the student may repeat the previous steps and resubmit a proctor prior to beginning the course.
Proctors can be business personnel including those from the court system, public library, place of employment or local education institution as generally considered good candidates.
The following colleges and universities across Minnesota have agreed to assist in proctoring online and distance students with exams. Please make an appoint well in advance of showing up to take your test. You can contact each individual listed to set up a time to take your tests. Be sure you have also made arrangements with your instructor in advance. All the proctors need to have an appointment confirmed in advance. Each site has different hours of availability and requirements. Some will require a testing fee. It is the responsibility of the student to secure test proctoring and make sure all information and requirements are met.
